It took me ages to do the dark grey in our bed room. I was really scared. Bang, done it. Love it. With white blinds and decorative curtains I wonder why I have stuck with beige and white so long.

Get some decor magazines, hit pintrest, make your own boards and see what you are attracted to. Do they all have the same theme? are they all the same colour? Do you have some furniture that goes with it? Paint paint paint. Wallpaper is an expensive mistake. Paint and then see if you need wall paper. I am a wall paper phobe.

Good luck. Tester pots are your friends! like they are mine!!! ;)Solhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10518631542782309728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3157850478234582369.post-82826231077543744282016-10-01T03:05:35.027-07:002016-10-01T03:05:35.027-07:00Hey Chickpea,

And more accessible to a young person. Just outside their back door in fact. I hope that my boys will foster their own interest, and who knows, maybe they will be the generation that gets behind conserving and saving our whales and tigers. And go get that dog!
Have a lovely weekend.
Leanne xLeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15617604296746784414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3157850478234582369.post-56600138702182526312016-09-30T18:00:01.073-07:002016-09-30T18:00:01.073-07:00Lovely photos of the dogs, I'm sure the right ...Lovely photos of the dogs, I'm sure the right one will come along for you. Second bathroom??? Children's/guest room?? And live with it for a while. Add some small splashes of color - soap dish? Cushions?? Don't tile or do anything that can't be changed easily until you're happy with color. Color is the cheapest, easiest & best way to start. Some people paint all walls neutral & then hang big splashes of color in pictures. That's what I love to do.
One year, I framed 12 FROG pictures in black. The frogs were brightly colored poisonous frogs from a large calendar about 18"x 18" & hung them on my beige walls. What a difference!! I draped my beige couch in a brightly colored rainbow afghan & covered the seat cushions in a bright red fabric with colored frogs on it. And I made a duvet cover out of the same fabric for my bedroom. I had red pot holders & a big red pot in the kitchen. It made me so happy to come home to all that color in winter when it was dull & gloomy outside.Sharon in Surreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12864797100804511728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3157850478234582369.post-80441496215904556642016-09-30T05:19:37.051-07:002016-09-30T05:19:37.051-07:00Best thing to do with decorating choices is to pai...Best thing to do with decorating choices is to paint walls with a goodly square of colour, or tack up some wallpaper samples. Look at them for a few days and see how they respond to different light levels. It's surprising how colours that look good in daylight can be all wrong at night. Also, of course, get yourself on to Pinterest, I find it totally inspiring. I'm still looking for our forever home, but cant wait to get decorating and have to stop myself buying stuff for the house we haven't got yet.

JeanShrimpton and Perfecthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11936163290981358252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3157850478234582369.post-78779204006207002732016-09-30T03:20:51.735-07:002016-09-30T03:20:51.735-07:00When we moved here 6 years ago, we changed our way...When we moved here 6 years ago, we changed our way of living which was helped by how we decorated our home, it's less of a place to spend hours cleaning and keeping tidy. We are far more relaxed and the house does not get so messy. One of the best things we did was put in hard wood floors everywhere except the bedrooms. Grandchildren are wonderful, so glad to read they give the whole family such fun. It is definitely worth fighting for a better world for our children and grandchildren! I am having some decisions to make with house decorations, we are having major building work done. My suggestion is to go for white and live with it for a bit until you get 'the calling'. You need to live in a house for a bit until you know what colour suits the lighting and moods of the house. xChristinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11883091348839145603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3157850478234582369.post-24213176195035003022016-09-29T23:57:49.652-07:002016-09-29T23:57:49.652-07:00I really enjoyed your post and seeing all your gre...I really enjoyed your post and seeing all your great photos.
