I haven't actually bought any seeds but I do have those which I harvested last year and it would be a shame to waste them.
But there's a drawback to having a greenhouse, which had never occurred to me before when I was wishing I had one - I go off camping at the first sniff of good weather and it's not good to leave a greenhouse when the sun is shining! Last year I came back to shrivelled, dried up and very dead plants. :(
There's no-one close enough to pop in twice a day to open / close the door and window and to keep everything watered. Since you've started in pots they are easily moved around if you need to shelter them for any reason. I do this when they are still at the two leaf/cotyledon stage ..others wait until the first true leaves come , which I do with other seeds , but with tomatoes I do it this way so as not to stress the delicate roots .
I,ve also taken them off the kitchen windowsil and taken them up to my husband's shed which has a massive window + much more light and is slightly cooler than in my kitchen . Although we very rarely get frost here in Cornwall I still wouldn't put them outside just yet .
