My apologies for not blogging for a while, but I have been well and truly in the doldrums. The description of doldrums is "a state of inactivity, mild depression, listlessness, or stagnation' Yep, that pretty much sums it up, I have felt like I'm neither moving forward or back, just adrift far out to sea.
However all that will change soon. We will be moving one way or another! Destination unknown!
When we accepted an offer on our house our buyers were not in a hurry as they wanted to move down to Cornwall to start a family (and who can blame them, it is such a wonderful place to raise children). Well they let us know yesterday that a little one is on the way and would like to complete by the beginning of July. Of course we said that would be fine but we still haven't found anywhere......eeeekk. I had written a whole rant about how useless estate agents are but deleted it as even I am getting bored with complaining about them. We used Tepilo who have been brilliant, but as for the rest of them........!!!!!
We put an offer in on a house on Monday so have been on tenterhooks all week only to find out today that the estate agents haven't even put the offer to the owners yet. FFS!!.......no I'm not going to rant.....I must resist ........try to think happy thoughts......
On that note, I will leave you with some photos of a recent trip to the beach to walk off my frustrations. The dogs in jumpers certainly cheered me up :)
Enjoy,
Chickpea xx
With the beautiful blues seas it looks like the Med. |
The low tides have recently revealed an ancient forest but I couldn't find it |
And so your new adventure begins. How fantastic. Estate agents are your frenemy.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture with the dogs with the jumpers. For some unknown reason the theme tune from howards way popped into my head. Flashback or what. Hope you are well
what is it with estate agents I hope it all continues smoothly, so many people seem to be having problems moving, love the doggy jumpers :-)
ReplyDeleteExciting! Hope all goes swimmingly . Great photos especially the dogs x
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling perkier soon. Who could fail to be cheered by those sea views and dogs in jumpers too! Fingers crossed that your offer is accepted. xx
ReplyDeleteI hope everything goes well with your house sale. The dogs look so cute in their sweaters!
ReplyDeletehoping all goes well with your offer, once the estate agents have done their job that is!
ReplyDeleteSelling property where you are is so different from where I am.
ReplyDeleteMy agent called and put my offer in to the sellers in the car as we drove to lunch. By the time we sat down to lunch the offer was oked and we signed the papers right after lunch. I was in town to look for a home in 3 days and I had to move from my home in 2 weeks.
Why did your agent wait ? ? ?
Sending good wishes for your offer !
cheers, parsnip
It is such a stressful thing, the selling and buying of houses. You are halfway there, and I hope the house your putting an offer on works out for you. Your pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed it all goes through for you. Moving house can be so frustrating. xx
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry Chickpea I hope the estate agent get a move on soon, how frustrating for you xx
ReplyDeleteNothing like motivation to get you out of the doldrums. I cannot believe they didn't put in the offer. You'd think they'd want a quick sale for quick commission. If I was the seller and knew I'd had an offer not given to me I'd be livid.
ReplyDeleteEstate Agents are a nightmare. When we sold our last home the buyer pulled out 2 days before we were due to complete as her own sale had fallen flat. When we travelled into town to see the agent they knew nothing about the collapsed sale! Why your agent waited to put in the offer is beyond me. Hopefully, things will run smoothly now....good luck!
ReplyDeleteBTW the photos are wonderful, I love the doggy jumpers x
I am delighted that you are on the move and a new adventure begins. Hoping all goes well. The dogs in jumpers are a real delight and made me smile.
ReplyDeleteDo understand only tooooo well how you have been feeling.I do hope things are on the turn for the better.Don't get me started on Estate Agents. On a happier not.LOVE the happy doggy pics and those jumpers are just adorable,as are the dogs wearing them,Beautiful pics.Thinking of you.Huggles xxx
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've been feeling a bit miserable Chickpea. Moving house is enough to make anyone miserable. I used to be a Conveyancer and I can safely say that moving house brings out the worst in people - it's such a heap of stress. Your photos are beautiful. I hope you get sorted with your move soon xx
ReplyDeleteoh those doggy jumpers are too cute for words. hope the house hunting goes well, it is so hard but there will be the place out there for you somewhere x
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for a move soon then! Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteYour photos always make me long to be by the sea .....
Wishing you all the very best x
I do hope those estate agents put that offer in soon and you hear back, fingers crossed x
ReplyDeleteEstate agents are a law unto themselves and then they charge for it too - in a BIG way.
ReplyDeleteYou are teasing me with Cornish seascapes, and here we are stuck in grey cold Suffolk
Exciting news! I hope you hear something soon. x
