Padstein
On Sunday the band were playing at Padstow Xmas Festival so I thought I would share a photo of the lovely fishing harbour with you. As you can see it was a lovely bright day but flipping cold when you were outside. Most people were huddled in the pubs, restaurants and food tents but they did come out to listen to us and have a little dance around as we paraded through the streets.
For those who don't know, Padstow is where Rick Stein has several restaurants, it has been nicknamed Padstein by the locals. There are several other well known restaurants in the area so it is a bit of a 'foodie' favourite. I splashed out on a bag of chips to warm me up, not from Rick Steins though!
I have put my 'getting healthy' plan into action and been walking a lot this weekend, then today I started a new basket at the basket making workshop. So not only are my legs aching but also my arms! I'm off to have a long soak in the bath.
I hope you have all had a good weekend,
Chickpea xx
Welcome to Jackie :)
I forgot to say Blogger has decided to put the 'prove you are not a robot' thingy on, even though I have ticked the no box. What is going on with Blogger at the moment?

Looks lovely... And I'm not a robot!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Padstow! It's our favourite place to visit each year and I have a very similar photo to yours which I use as wallpaper on my laptop :) We took it about 4 years ago and it never fails to make me smile. Stein's chips are nice but soooo expensive.
ReplyDeleteThat's a stonkingly good pic.

Fantastic photo - the colours are so vibrant. x
ReplyDeletewhat an amazing photo x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, we were there last year in the summer. We have our Padstow bauble on our Christmas tree, from the Christmas shop.We avoided all Rick's over priced places and had a great meal along the front
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo! I am looking out to a grey extremely wet and windy day (thinking that I need to cycle home soon). Have a lovely week. x
ReplyDeleteBlogger is bugging me right now too! Aggghhhh!! Glad you had a good evening. xx
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful harbour. x
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a picture postcard-beautiful : )
ReplyDeleteawwww thank you everyone, it was taken on my phone and edited a bit
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture. When we last went there the queue for the Rick Stein chips was huge. we gave up. after someone mentioned the prices we were secretly pleased and went somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteI also have this prove your not a robot on my blog. I cant get rid of it. I have clicked on yes for word verification. then turned my pc on and off again. then gone back in turned it on and then restarted my pc again. and it is still there... I dont know how to get rid of it either. I hate it as I cant read it a lot of the time...?
Hi Sol, I keep trying to remove it but it's not taking any notice of me at all. The robots are taking over!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the robot thing if it's just numbers, it's the letters that drive me nuts! Loved the pic of the sea, am getting withdrawal symptoms. Hope all's well x
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a pedometer at the moment and it's terrifying how far under the 10,000 steps I was just by NOT taking the dogs out for the second time on Sunday! I'm tryig to lose weight and after a week have managed 0.8 of a pound.........whoopee. xx
ReplyDeleteI get withdrawal symptoms if I'm away from the sea for long C.T.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Em, I'm shocked by how little I walk on week days. Even on weekends I haven't managed 10.000. I used to reach that regularly a couple of years ago. Well done for losing weight :)
That is a picturesque harbor! I don't think I could live far from a large body of water for long.
