A Quick 'Slip' in the Pool

I can feel myself relaxing, easing into the holiday pace of life and losing the bad habits I have fallen into at home.  It is like pressing the reset button which is exactly the effect I wanted when I booked the holiday.  Taking time to look at the beauty of nature, the stunning ancient Cornish countryside and to stroll along at my own pace.  No t.v., avoiding the news as much as possible,  and keeping computer use to a minimum, well apart from blogging.  It is so easy when I am at home to get caught up in the day to day things and before I know it I haven't been outside at all.  When this beautiful landscape is outside your door, you can't resist putting your boots on and getting out there.

Last night I decided to take a quick dip in the pool.  It is a natural pool, no chemicals, filtered by reed beds.  It felt cold but not too bad so I decided to just take a little dip, no swimming yet but a gentle ease into the pool adjusting to the temperature gently.  Well anyone who knows me can vouch for  how clumsy I can be.  So of course I slipped and went straight in, a little bit quicker than I was intending.  Oh and I also realised I had left my trousers I was going to bring at home in my last minute getting ready rush.  So I have two pairs of trousers for the week, lets hope I don't get too wet and muddy.... unlikely as we are out stomping across the fields everyday.

We're off to take a walk while the sun is shining, I will leave you with some of the 100 photos I have taken already.

The beautiful little cottage we are staying in.  It used to be a piggery.

There was a wedding here at the weekend, so there are hearts everywhere.  The ceremony took place by the pool.

The place we are staying is called Little White Alice and has won all sorts of 'Eco' Awards.  I love it here, it is so my thing.  They even run craft classes.  I will be signing up for their basket making course as I live so close.  They are also hoping to run a spinning/weaving course.

and no I am not being sponsored by them.
